Chamber Bridge

This road bridge was lifted out of its home at Forth Ports dock and brought to our facility to be refurbished. The bridge was put inside our shed and sat on trestles, allowing access to all parts. It was cleaned (to remove salts from the surface), blasted and painted with a 3 coat paint system. An aggregate was added to the paint on the deck surface, to provide a non-skid surface. The bridge was then collected and taken back to site to be reinstalled. This process helped reduce costs and disruption compared to carrying out works on site and the duration was known accurately, as it could be done in a controlled environment.
