At this structure we mechanically prepared and painted the worst corroded areas of the railway bridge spanning across Windmillhill Street in Motherwell. This included the main girders, deck and the cross girder end over the abutments. As well as this we painted the yellow and black chevrons on the facings of the bridge as there was a restricted height for vehicles passing.
In order to access this bridge operatives used MEWPS and alloy tower scaffolding. We also worked on nightshift with lane closures due to a lack of night traffic.
